You might have already noticed that the site no longer comes to a halt after the game. I've now offloaded most if not all images, scripts, css, etc. onto Amazon S3(Simple Storage Service). Before I wouldn't be able to update the site to put the download links once the streaming version was up. This only happens after a win. If it's a loss, the site is as responsive as ever. I wonder why. This speedy service comes at a cost but all of your donations, big or small, help reduce this cost.
I'm contemplating on whether to use CloudFront for CDN to give all visitors even faster access time to the site. As 40% of the visitors are outside of the US, I'm a bit reluctant on deploying it as the cost per HTTP request is higher for non-US regions in addition to the bandwidth charges. I'll do a test in the coming days to gauge the usage this month.
On a side note: Take it easy on the hostile emails when you're having an issue or two with the site. I do try my best but you can't expect a YouTube reliability from this site as I'm just a one-man show with very limited resources. Remember, this is only a hobby of mine.
Thanks for visiting and I'll continue to improve the site as best as I can.
Update 3/13: Uhh that didn't help much. Server just can't handle the traffic so we'll have to suffer through these 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR for a while until I get a dedicated server.
Update 3/22: Thanks to Peter, the site is now on a dedicated server. I was about to give up on this site last night when the previous host disabled the site due to heavy usage. But now it's back and better than ever. Thank you very much, Peter!
